Using matching thread in both your bobbin and your needle ensure that your stitches look absolutely amazing! You don’t want to spend all your time focused on making the perfect buttonhole stitch only to realize that a smidge of your bobbin thread is showing. If your threads match, you won’t have any worries at all. Do note, however, if your bobbin thread is showing a lot you likely need to adjust the tension on your machine. Again, we don’t have to adjust our tension to use this thread combination. We use a variety of machines from very high end with all the bells and whistles to the little machines for travel. From Janome to EverSewn to to Bernina to Brother and on, we’ve had lovely stitches using this 30 wt / 50 wt Sulky Thread combo.
