FAQs

What does pre-printed pattern mean?

You are going to love this part ... the design is printed on a dissolvable stabilizer. You simply peel the backing, stick the design to your background fabric and begin sewing! The stabilizer is very easy to pull your needle through ... especially if you use Tulip Needles! When you are done stitching your design, simply run the stitchery under lukewarm water and the stabilizer disappears. Once your fabric is dry you can iron it and wait for the next month to arrive!

Who collaborated on this quilt?

The project is a collaboration by: Adornit, Lindsay Ostrom Creator of Cuteness and Stitches of Love

Lindsay Ostrom drew the 12 Garden Girls. Adornit prints the 12 pre-printed hand embroidery design sticker. Julie Love of Stitches of Love designed the quilt. Stitches of Love creates the monthly quilt patterns and assembles the monthly kits.

When will I be charged each month for this hand embroidery block of the month?

You will be charged a $1.00 sign up fee today when you join. We will send you a FREE Berry Pincushion Welcome Gift. Your monthly renewal will be automatically charged at $42.99 on the 12th of each month. You first box will ship on the 12th of the month following your signup date. The block of the month renews on the 12th of each month and ships soon after. This is a 14 month program. Boxes 1 - 12 are hand embroidery blocks, box 13 contains all of your half square triangle border fabrics and box 14 is your finishing kit with sashing, border and binding fabrics. The Garden Girls Hand Embroidery Block of the Month and membership fee are non-cancelable. (Due to high demand, your first kit may experience a delay in shipping on the 12th of the first month after your reservation date.)

Is international shipping available?

Unfortunately not. We've suspended our International Shipping due to extreme shipping delays and rising costs.

How much backing fabric is needed for the Garden Girls Quilt?

You will need 1 1/2 Yards of 108" Wide Back Fabric. We recommend Heirloom Sea Glass Home Town Wide Back Fabric by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs. Backing is available to order.

How will I quilt my quilt?

Great question! You will complete your entire quilt top and then you can choose to quilt your quilt on your sewing machine or longarm, hand quilt, or send your quilt to a longarm quilter. After quilting is complete, you will attach your binding and a hanging sleeve if desired. Please note, this is not a Quilt as You Go project. Our sample was beautifully quilted by expert longarmer Kim Werth of Kim's Quilting Corner. You can find her on Instagram under kims_quilting_corner.

Important Note

We ask that you remain a member for the duration of your selected Block of the Month or Club. We ask that you not cancel your membership as we create an entire series of boxes for your project. Your cancellation leaves us with an incomplete Block of the Month Kit or Club that we cannot sell to anyone else. The signup fee in non-refundable. Boxes cannot be returned and are non-refundable.
